So many of us who still survive, along with all those who have participated in recent years but who have not, owe an enormous debt of gratitude to the untiring efforts of Clive in the re-establishment of contact amongst a wide group of Old Johnsonians, and our regular reunions that have become such a source of pleasure. It is a tribute to him that so many of us held him in such high esteem. I am aware that in recent years neither he nor Sheila had been in the best of health and so it is some time since we all met. My deep condolence goes to Sheila and his family. I shall not be there on 3rd December but my thoughts will be with you.
